Challenge
Printbrush is a device intended for users who would like to make imprints and print them on any type of surface (paper, cardboard, fabrics, wood, etc.). During the Kickstarter campaign, the customer was looking for iOS engineers to develop the MVP and release it as soon as possible. Then Printbrush´s entrepreneurs found CactusSoft’s custom development software service.
They already had an Android app completed and wanted to test it with new developers. Future app development was also planned.
Solution
The Cactus team has supported the MVP project from the very beginning and offered all needed services from business analysis and design to software development and testing. The printer receives the request through the application and responds in the form of an image. The app shows the amount of ink left in the printer and the battery level, for example.
It also has the feature to create custom images by adding text and changing its color, font or shading. The image can be also flipped, enlarged and scaled. The project was successfully released on the App Store, and now it’s waiting for further development. It’s planned that users will have the opportunity to print any images downloaded from a smartphone.
Our developers also work on the eCommerce module, where users can purchase printers and inks.
